Cooling Tower Fans - New Standard

Application Description | Traditional Solution | Energy Savings
Features: AEO, PID Control, VVC plus, Sleep Mode

New Standard
Using a VLT frequency converter, the cooling tower fan speed can be controlled to maintain the optimal condenser water temperature. Drives can also be used to stage additional fans on and off as needed in multi-cell towers.
As the speed of the cooling tower fan is reduced below a minimum level, the may fan become ineffective in cooling the water. Gearbox driven tower fans require a minimum speed for gearbox lubrication. An adjustable frequency drive offers a programmable minimum frequency setting to maintain this minimum speed operation.
