Energy Savings
The way an adjustable frequency drive and variable speed pump respond to the system curve is shown in the diagram. The control curve shows the actual operation points of the secondary pump with variable speed control. The setpoint is the amount of pressure that must be maintained, at the sensor location, even at zero flow, to satisfy system requirements such as minimum pressure differential to operate the coils and control valves.
